A WRITER'S CONCORDANCE:
EVERY THING THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT WRITING
by Sharolett Koenig

A Writer's Inspirational Manual

Jacket Blurb:
From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible contains much wisdom concerning the craft of writing. The office of the scribe was an important position throughout Bible times. And because of these "writers" we can hold in our hands "The Greatest Book Ever Written." Jesus used parables to teach the people. And the pattern for the "locked-room whodunit mystery" is contained in 2 Samuel 11 and 12.
Whether you feel you are talented or not, whether you're highly educated or struggle to read, whether you write letters and poems or just scribble a shopping list, you can pass along important information to future generations. This is the message conveyed to you, the writer, in A Writer's Concordance: Every Thing the Bible Says About Writing.

Excerpt:
As you read through The Old Testament verses, you'll discover, then as now, a writer's life isn't easy. Being a scribe was a prestigious and lofty position that garnered favor with, and often power and influence over, the reigning king. But as kingdoms toppled and kings were executed, so were their scribes.
Kingdoms rose and fell according to how people responded when they read the book of the law of Moses. Joshua 1:8 holds the promise of prosperity and good success for those who meditate in the book of the law and do all that is written therein. God commanded His people to write down the great deeds He did in their lives and to read it and teach it to their children so they'd remember the LORD. In Joshua 18:9, we read about a travelers' journal, of sorts, when Joshua commanded a group of men to describe the Promised Land according to the inheritance of them, so he could cast lots before the LORD and divide it unto the children of Israel. And according to Judges 5:14, the descendants of Jebulun were talented writers. You'll also learn that Jezebel is the only woman mentioned in The Old Testament as a writer (1Kings 21:8-11).
In The New Testament we are urged to publish and proclaim our testimony of what God has done in our lives. Paul and the apostles did just that. And Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith.
